چشم هایت را ببند و بخواب

این نخستین و آخرین غروب آتش بس است

 می خواهم زانو بزنم و کمی دعا کنم

  شاید مسیح از آسمان بیاید

و برایمان کمی نان و شراب بیاورد

فقط خدا کند امشب،هیچ ستاره ی سربی

از دهان تفنگ ها بیرون نیاید

دیگر مریم باکره نه تاب داغ عیسی را دارد

و نه طاقت زاییدن فرزندی دیگر را ...
